Workshop Description

The Hoëgne Valley is one of Belgium’s most picturesque landscapes, renowned for its crystal-clear river, enchanting waterfalls, moss-covered rocks, and ancient forest. During autumn, the vibrant colours and soft light transform this beautiful valley into a paradise for landscape photographers.

Throughout this workshop, you’ll learn how to create powerful woodland compositions, work with flowing water using long exposures, and make the most of natural light. We’ll explore techniques for balancing light, simplifying complex scenes, and discovering intimate landscapes that often go unnoticed.

We will also discuss the creative use of photographic filters. Although filters are not required, they are an invaluable tool for long-exposure photography, allowing you to create silky water effects and control light even in bright conditions. I will demonstrate a range of Kase Filters and explain when and how they can enhance your landscape photography. As an official Kase Filters Ambassador, I’ll be happy to answer any questions about filter techniques and their practical applications.

With personal guidance in a small group, you’ll receive individual advice on composition, camera settings, and creative vision. A sturdy tripod is strongly recommended, as many of the best images require longer shutter speeds. Whether you’re an enthusiastic beginner or an experienced photographer, this workshop will help you develop a stronger eye for landscape photography while exploring one of Belgium’s most beautiful natural locations.
